What do you need 7 seater car for?
Population growth has been a constantly discussed issue since 2 decades, and we too are a part of the problem. Every innovation that happens and every invention that takes place is centered to make human life easier and convenient. Car is one of those.
When we are discussing about cars, a simple question you need to ask yourself is why do you need a 7 seat car?. Answer is the size of your family or friends. You should be a people person, therefore you must be having an enormous family having 4 and above number of people. If this is you, then you are in need of any of the 7 seater cars.
What would be the use of your new car?
Its necessary for you to remember the purpose of the acquisition of the vehicle before you actually buy it, just because you have a larger family. Have a look at your car usage patterns of the past. Have you been travelling a very long distance quite often? Have you been feeling the need of a larger car all the time you got inside the car? or was it just occasional? Until and unless you absolutely need it, don’t buy any of the 7 seater cars. If at all you are driving 2 out of 10 times with less than 2 to 3 people, then its not advised to buy any of the 7 seater cars.
The size and cost are bigger, are you prepared?
If your current car is hatchback or a sedan, then you would probably be used to its size and its expenditure. Include the garage also in the previous statement. Do you have enough infrastructure to house a 7 seater car? Is your garage big enough to contain it with its door and back door open? You would have to consider all this before you bring in the big vehicle.
If the answer for above question is yes, then the next big thing to be answered is about your budget. Does your big vehicle fit well in your pocket? Many of the 7 seater cars come very expensive, both during the purchase and maintenance. Thus you should mentally and economically be prepared to take up those extra burden without burdening your family.
With automakers focusing on integrating as many features as possible in the center console area, the number of six passenger cars being manufactured has declined over the years. The front bench seating needed to accommodate three people has been exchanged for separate front seats with the gear shift and parking brake placed in-between.
But all is not lost. Though not as common as they once used to be, there are still a few full sized cars on the market with bench seating for that extra passenger. The Lincoln Town Car is, perhaps, the most well known of the bunch. A long favorite of older drivers, the Town Car has a movable center console that can be flipped up to provide more room.
One of Ford’s flagship cars, the Crown Victoria, also offers seating for six passengers. Since its inception in 1955, the Crown Victoria has been an American favorite. Its rugged construction and durability has caused it to become the number one choice for police and taxi fleets across the country.
As one of the last traditional full-size cars, the Mercury Grand Marquis still has the two armrests in the middle that can be adjusted to make space for a sixth person. It even has a foot rest where they can place their feet so that they are not interfering with the comfort of the driver or the other passenger.
And when it comes to deciding exactly who gets to sit in that middle front seat, drawing straws has always proved to be an effective decision making method for centuries.
